Rachel Gonzales is educated and experienced in both architecture and fine art, and she has a strong perception and intuitive understanding of the human scale, sensorial experience, and spatial quality of form in both fields of practice. She graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Architecture, has studied under Laura Spector and Lucinda Cobley at the Art League Houston, and has recently graduated from Houston's chapter of Artist Inc this year. She currently practices out of her own studio at The Silos at Sawyer Yards and has successfully fulfilled art commissions for residential buildings, schools, churches, and private collectors. Her life's work focuses on reclaiming the female gaze as powerful way to see beyond the the physical realm and into the formless experience of being human.
