Born in Manila, Philippines, Zeus grew up playing in the rough streets of his neighborhood "Tondo" with
concrete pipes and metal roofs as play structures as well as the idyllic countryside, spending his days
taking naps in mango trees and exploring the mountains of Zambales.
Zeus' training started with the influence of his family, following the footsteps of his grandfather and
father who were architects. Together with his siblings, they spent countless hours learning principles of
architecture and design. Not only did their father teach them through lectures, they also learned through
unconventional means such as drills on how to write and draw upside down.
Through the years, Zeus has taken on many professions: an architectural firm draftsman, documentary
photographer, industrial, graphic, and interior design, l business entrepreneur, and now a project manager
in Houston.
For the last decade, Zeus has been rediscovering his artist's voice culminating in over 300 pieces focused
on his representation of the human experience through pen and ink.
Recently, he has been featured at the Station Museum in Houston, TX as part of in(di)visible, an exhibit
curating the works of several Asian American artists from around the country who are examining issues of
immigration, war, assimilation, and integration. This was his first public exhibit in over 30 years.
